Proof in the Mirror

Everyone wants proof that God is real. When we look in the mirror, the proof stares back us every time. God’s fingerprints and evidence is all over us. We were created in His image, though sometimes we look in the mirror and don’t like what we see on the outside. Our God will surprise and remind us of His love and acceptance as He repeatedly proves Himself.

Captivating

This song tells the story of two women, the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4, and the woman caught in adultery in John 8. Both women encounter Jesus, and are accepted by Him. These women both are trying to survive, but after meeting Jesus, they understand that they have a beauty that is captivating, as it reflects the image of God stored up inside of them. All of us have a piece of God’s beauty inside us, no matter how much you feel like you’ve it’s been messed up by your lifestyle.

His Story

The Lord is writing a story in our lives that tells other people about Him. He is trying to show His love and affection by writing the truth in our lives, in our story. Though pages turn, and new chapters begin, it the author who is writing His Story on the pages of our lives. Ruthless trust is required as each new page turns, and we cling to Jesus in the midst of an uncertain future. I am His story.

Brushstrokes

My life has been transformed by understanding the command of Jesus to love one another in John 13:34. As we love each other sacrificially, we create brushstrokes. These individual strokes over time become a portrait of Jesus to a watching world. This song was written for my dear friends Mike & Amy for their wedding. The words represent what Jesus has to say at your wedding. These words still apply to how we love others, every day, no matter what our commitment to them.

Place at the Table

I have spent my life pouring myself into the next generation. As I have walked with young men, I have yearned, grieved, and passionately longed for them to take their place at the table of truth. It is a round table where we sit as equals, to serve the King of Kings. I believe He has a place set at the table for each man, it represents embracing your destiny and walking in wholeness and healing. This is a song that calls to a man’s heart and tells him to rise up and take his place.

Love Letter

The Bible is sometimes referred to as a love letter that God has left for us. So many times we don’t know if God really loves us, but we haven’t looked at the letter He left for us. He also sings thousands of love songs every night. I wonder if the lyrics on this CD might help you hear a few of His words...

Still Small Voice

God’s voice in the Bible sometimes thunders from heaven, but Elijah experienced God speaking to him in a quiet whisper in 1 Kings 19. We always hope that God will give us a billboard size signal to show us where to go, what to do, or how to proceed in our lives, but usually it’s a still small voice that speaks to our hearts. Even nature sings of God’s character. The heavens are telling us about the glory of God. Whether it’s the great things God does that speak to you, his whisper, or nature’s overwhelming revelation of truth about Him, God is speaking to us.

Reunion

This is the story of the prodigal son found in Luke 15. We all have walked away from our Father at times, and we don’t think we deserve to still be his child. Though at times the smell of burning bridges discourage our returning home, it is Lord who builds back the bridges, and makes a way for us to get back. He is waiting and watching for us to come home. When He sees our silhouette on the horizon, He will run to welcome us home, no questions asked.

Just a Breath Away

It seems like God is so far away sometimes. The reality is that He is with us from the very moment He knit us together in our mother’s womb. He is the one who gives us a reason to live in every season of our life. God makes us perfect in every way, He is the creator and sustainer of all things. This song gives us a picture of what God’s heart is for an unborn child, and for you too, no matter what your age might be.

You are My Song

God is singing a song through us for the rest of the world to hear. The way that we live, sings a song about the hope, truth, the way and the proof of God. This song started before you were born, and it will ring in your heart and soul forever. There are so many desperate people in this world waiting and listening for your song. It is a song we sing with Jesus, in harmony. Music is the language of the soul, and we are called to share the songs of eternity that will refresh the weary and hopeless. This song was written for my friends Daniel & Katie, whose lives sing this song everyday.

Welcome Home

A great leader of a nearby church died suddenly, and we lost a father. I struggled with the “why” of God’s timing and asked Him to explain why this happened. I felt like He told me to write down His answer. When I sat down to write what I felt He was saying to me, this song came out. It is what I believe that Jesus sings to us when we walk into heaven. It brings a different perspective, while honoring our loss as we grieve loved ones.
